OUR MISSIONis to foster a collaborative environment and community for participatory arts, encourage people to express their creativity, and challenge them to extend their concept of both community and art.
Q:
How do we go about our mission?
A:
We foster a collaborative artistic community by:- managing communication tools such as this website, announcement lists, a discussion list and social networks. See our Stay Connected box on this page
- discussing and announcing events, shows, gallery openings, in this artistic community AND other regional artistic communities. you will find that there is a lot of cross over in regional artistic communities
- participating and managing a Creative Grant program
- creating and running events and shows that showcase our community's creative endeavors
- helping YOU create small and large art projects!
Q:
How do you become part of the community that does that?
A:
You can become part of the Firefly Arts Collective community by:- creating interesting, engaging art and allowing us to help showcase it to our community (we are artists, inventors, makers, performers, and musicians that come together to try and build better and more amazing art)
- joining the announcement lists, discussion list and our page on Facebook—for more info see our Stay Connected Box on this page. (You can even help us keep the website updated. Find out how by going to the Communications page on this website.)
