Ticket Info & Waitlist

Dozens of cars parked on a field.Firefly has very limited parking, so we encourage you to carpool or find other ways to get there. In addition to driving, Firefly offers bus service from Cambridge and Boston for you and your luggage. Read on for more.

Directions to the Event

Ticket holders will receive the location and directions in your email before the event. Do not share the directions.

Parking

Parking passes for 2025 are free, but must be filled out completely upon arrival at the event, and must be left visible on the dash of your car so we can find you or a campmate of yours in case your car needs to be moved.

Drivers, please be sure you are offering all available spaces in your car! Everyone must pull together to rideshare whenever possible, since we are so tight on spaces. If you have questions, please contact transport@fireflyartscollective.org.

There are people posting rides in the #ride-share channel in the Firefly Discord Server.

People sometimes list ride offers in the Glowbe, an email newsletter you will be getting if you have a ticket. You can also use the Asks and Offers Form to request or offer a ride!

What to Expect When You Arrive & Leave

Expect to spend a few minutes on arrival having your ticket checked, getting a wristband, a parking pass, and being greeted. You will be instructed on where you can park after finishing at ticketing.

Please follow the instructions of our on-site parking volunteers and park as close as you can to the car next to you.

You will NOT be able to drive up to your camping space to unload. Expect to hand-haul your gear into the woods (a 10-20 minute walk). We recommend bringing a dolly or cart (make sure it can handle hills and rough terrain; bungee cords and ropes are useful to hold things down). You will not have access to your car during the event.

If it rains a lot, there will likely be delays in getting out. Everyone will be able to get out, but it might take a bit longer — so plan accordingly. Consider packing up early and spending some time picking up trash to take home, helping with breakdown, or lending a hand to those who need it.

In 2025 we will have one bus leaving from Boston. The bus only has only 49 seats up to Firefly and 55 seats returning. If you know that you’ll be taking the bus, please buy your ticket early.

Bus Pick-up (Going to Firefly)

Return Bus (Exodus from Firefly)

The return bus will leave on Sunday, July 6 at 3:30pm. The bus will not wait if you are late.

Purchase Bus Tickets

Bus tickets from Boston are $75 round-trip or $50 one-way. Bus tickets are available to ticketed participants via the Ticketing website.

We will offer refunds upon request through Tuesday, June 17 (two weeks before the event begins). After that date, we will unfortunately only be able to offer refunds if the buses sell out AND someone else needs your ticket. Bus ticket purchases must be made online, and will close at the same time that event ticket sales close.

Bus Luggage and Freight

Bus passengers will be allowed to bring one large-ish suitcase (think: one 27-gallon Home Depot black/yellow tote) plus a carry-on size bag. Need more space? Use the gear truck! Shares can be purchased on the ticketing website, and are $45 each. The gear truck loads in Medford (near Tufts) on Sun., June 29 between 11am – 7pm and unloads in the same location on Mon., July 7. More information will be sent to gearshare holders in the week before the event. If you require more space or have questions about a bulky/unwieldy item, reach out to transport@fireflyartscollective.org.

Bus Perks!

  • We’ll help you deal with trash! We’ll give you specially-marked bags for your personal trash. This year we are not offering recycling.
  • All buses will make a 30-minute rest stop at a shopping plaza on the way to the event. Have your grocery list ready to expedite the process. In previous years the checkout lines were long, so please take this into account.
  • The bus will provide several gear carts to help you haul your gear into the woods upon arrival. If your camp has extra gear carts, please loan them to the bus participants!

Vehicle Access

Street vehicles are almost never allowed on the hill. Please come prepared to haul equipment by hand.

For special access during Early Arrival and Exodus, see our GTFO – Vehicle Access to Camping Areas page.

Early Arrival

If you wish to set up your art or camp before the event, please fill out the Early Arrival Application as soon as you know your plans. Everyone in a vehicle must be on the approved Early Arrival list. If anyone in an early arrival group is not on the list (or doesn’t have their photo ID), then no-one in the group will be allowed entry.

Email early@fireflyartscollective.org with any questions.
